Today we had our first singing class.
Our tutor James took some time to get to know the group. He did a great job actually remembering the names of the whole group, which we all appreciated. This highlighted to me how important it is to take time to invest in the students you will be teaching. A good teacher student relationship where there is trust and respect will go along way in the students development.
We had 20 or so minutes where James talked us through the Elastic Recoil Breath, and the True and False vocal cords.I didn't really get exactly how it worked, or how we were to use it but I'm sure over time I will.
